JOB DESCRIPTION

WB Games Montreal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), seeks an IT Procurement Specialist.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and leverage a broad view of the IT department agreements with vendors and contractors to obtain better terms and prices on behalf of the WB Games IT organization
  • Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings.
  • Define purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    Identify and analyze common purchasing needs from various studios
  • Maintain asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • Assist with contract negotiations
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as needed.
  • Analyze trends and market conditions for present and future pricing, availability, lead-time, and capacity of goods and services.
  • Monitor vendor performance, intervening when performance falls below an acceptable threshold.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Work Experience Requirements
  • 5+ years direct work experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity, including all aspects of strategy development and execution
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing regulations and laws.
  • Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Office 365, Adobe, Autodesk, AWS, across a wide variety of areas such as SaaS models, Licensing Models, Cloud cost optimizations, etc.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  • Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field required.


Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent contract management skills are essential.
  • Effective bartering and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
  • Superb budgeting, inventory, and cost-management, allocations and charge backs skills
  • General knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, and logistics.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Other Requirements

May require weekend and evening hours.
