Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is a fast growing, dynamic business focused on meeting challenging financial goals in the video game space. The Manager of Financial Planning Mobile is part of the financial planning team, which is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and business decision support for the mobile games line of business. The position supports the Finance Director who is responsible for Worldwide Mobile Games budgeting and forecasting and supervising the WB Games San Francisco finance operations. The primary responsibilities of this position will include preparing, managing, and socializing mobile games budget and forecasts. In addition, the position requires the ability to view the business at all levels of transactions and maintain a high degree of flexibility in understanding individual game economics.
  • Lead Mobile Games forecasting process – communicate timelines; coordinate deliverables across studios; prepare, manage, analyze and report by title forecasts for the Mobile Games line of business; submit data to the planning system and validate data accuracy.
  • Support in the preparation of monthly management reports for division’s executive team (Ultimates and title P&Ls). Identify trends and opportunities for management. Respond to management inquiries and questions.
  • Prepare, manage, analyze and socialize new business P&L’s in support of the Mobile Games business development group’s efforts to acquire new distribution and publishing opportunities.
  • Support long term planning process – analyze market trends, maintain and update mobile planning model, load P&L data to the planning system.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accruals for iTunes/Google; track actual performance variances to the forecast and prepare pacing report to management.
  • Collaborate with WB Corporate to ensure accurate posting of actuals; identify and assist in resolving any issues.
  • Work on special projects as required.
What do we require from you?
  • B.A. or B.S degree required.
  • C.P.A and/or MBA preferred.
  • 5 or more years of general accounting and three or more years of financial planning experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to manage and motivate others to perform under stressful conditions.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Must have superior computer skills.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of SAP, Essbase, MS office suite of applications.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of G.A.A.P.
