Avalanche Software, a division of Warner Brothers Games Inc. seeks a Director of Development to join our talented team working on an unannounced AAA console title.

The DoD is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing the production pipeline for difficult and large projects, which may include external partnerships. This individual develop staffing plans, and monitors resource load and schedule for the content team within set team targets. In addition, this person will monitor content creation tasks in collaboration with production staff and art leads. Lastly, the individual is charged with helping deliver the title with high quality and on-time.

What part will you play?

  • Work with Producers, Creative Directors, Art Directors and Engineering on developing industry-best practices and recommending workflow direction.
  • Collaborate with the Producers, and Leads, to develop shared company processes where appropriate, and participates in defining the aspirations for the studio.
What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, as well as project management training.
  • 10 or more years of increasingly responsible experience in Game Development.
  • 5+ years management experience.
  • Experience working with a broad range of high-end 2D and 3D third-party content creation tools.
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Extremely organized and proficient overseeing large project schedules. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar software a major plus.
  • Must be passionate about playing and making video games for the PC and gaming consoles. Previous experience with open-world games a plus.
  • Experience developing console titles.
  • Worked on a published game.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to manage a large group of highly motivated and creative people.
