Avalanche, a division of WB Games Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will be part of a team supporting a hosted and in-house infrastructure that delivers core gaming infrastructure services to internal developers and administrators. The Systems Administrator will provide a mixture of preventative support as well as integration activity around Windows Server environment, VMWare, SCCM, Commvault, and more. You will also be working in a fast-pace environment driving performance and reliability from software, infrastructure and cloud environments on behalf of WB Games. The successful candidate for this role will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience in integrating multi technology platforms and brands of product, solid communication skills and a desire to tackle the complex problems of scale which are unique.

What part will you play?
  • Manage workstations and servers via Microsoft Windows SCCM:
    • Manage, update, and maintain SCCM environment
    • Build application and driver packages and deploy onto workstations and servers
    • Create, update, and maintain automated application deployment packages
    • Manage software installation package distribution and troubleshooting
    • Create and maintain workstation images for rapid system deployment
    • Keep workstations and servers up to date by deploying the latest patches
    • Provide reports on application and OS installs, client health, etc.
  • Backup systems management, configuration, and tuning with Commvault
  • Active Directory and group policy management
  • Support other daily systems administration of the server environment, including software deployments, OS upgrades, VM builds
  • Perform daily tasks such as managing and resolving trouble tickets and change requests, performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintaining documentation
  • Resolve issues and prepare status reviews and reports
What do we need from you?
  • 5+ years of Windows experience in an enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft SCCM in an operational capacity
  • Experience installing, patching, and maintaining servers in a Windows environment
  • Strong experience supporting Windows servers including OS deployments, software installation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Background with VMware vSphere in an enterprise setting
  • Solid understanding of IP network fundamentals, including routing, subnetting and name resolution
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and group policy
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both oral and written, and willingness to work both autonomously and with teams
  • Some scripting ability (Windows Powershell or other)

ADDITIONAL USEFUL SKILLS
  • Experience with Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Some experience with SAN (preferably Netapp).
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Crowd, Confluence, Jira)
  • Automation, orchestration and/or strong scripting experience
  • Knowledge of various database servers (MS SQL, MySQL, etc.)
