WB Games seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for its San Francisco Studio Finance department. At WB Games San Francisco, we are bringing some of the most iconic characters and stories to life in the mobile space. The Sr. Financial Analyst, WBGSF is part of the financial planning team which is responsible for production accounting, game P&L planning and analysis, and business decision support for the growing WB Games San Francisco studio.

The primary responsibilities of this position will include preparing and managing game budgets and forecasts for WBGSF, external developers, and Asia partners as well as monthly production cost accounting close.

In addition, the position requires the ability to view the business at all levels of transactions and maintain a high degree of flexibility in understanding individual game economics.ob Responsibilit
  • Assist in preparation of the monthly rolling P&L reforecast process, annual budgeting submission, and long term planning effort including:
  • Prepare headcount plan for studio including salaries, fringe, bonus, and overhead allocations.
  • Prepare and consolidate all department budgets.
  • Maintain database inputs and assumptions and update for each forecast cycle in Adaptive and GPP.
  • Prepare Essbase P&L loads.
  • Assist in ad hoc analysis.
  • Prepare studio production cost accounting and close process including:
  • Support divisional close process, partnering with Burbank based games cost accountant and Games EFS accounting team.
  • Ensure title costs are accurately reflected in SAP general ledger, supporting project module, WBGSF cost elements, Adaptive and Essbase applications.
  • Ad hoc financial processes including:
  • Support the P&L analysis for all mobile titles serviced by WB Games San Francisco studio for cost allocation.
  • Collaborate with Burbank Mobile FP&A team to support the executive’s requirements for visibility of all WB mobile initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing mobile production budgets for WB Japan, external developers, and various Asia partners in both production accounting and forecasting.
  • Assist Sr. Manager in business decision support including building and iterating financial models to analyze project proposals/opportunities and make recommendations to executive management.
  • Prepare capital budget and cash forecasts.
  • Prepare T&E budgets for all departments in detail.
  • Prepare and review P-Card reconciliations for studio.
  • Prepare and review procure to pay process including coding account, cost center, and project elements.
  • Communicate with studio heads monthly for employee time allocation of the staffs for project allocations.
  • Gather relevant documents for the year-end tax reporting.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Reports to Sr. Manager, Finance.
What do we require from you?
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required.
  • Games industry experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working within FP&A.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of G.A.A.P.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of SAP, Essbase, MS office suite of applications.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under tight time constraints and meet challenging deadlines with accuracy.
  • Must be able to work independently in a highly dynamic environment and effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to partner with business leadership.
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work and communicate collaboratively across groups and divisions within Warner Bros Home Entertainment.
